Assistant Professor of Pharmacology & Nutritional Sciences

The Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include teaching and directing core graduate courses in nutrition, developing new course offerings, assisting with recruitment and participating in the mentorship of graduate students. In addition to teaching, scholarship and service are expected requirements. This position for an educator provides an opportunity to join a graduate program ranked among the top 25% of all nutrition programs by the National Research Council. The graduate program in Nutritional Sciences is multidisciplinary with faculty from more than 20 departments/divisions across UK’s Colleges of Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing and Agriculture providing instruction and individualized research guidance. Our program offers both Masters (MS) and PhD programs. The MS degree is composed of 4 areas of emphasis including Clinical Nutrition, Molecular and Biochemical Nutrition, Community Nutrition and Wellness/Sports Nutrition. The PhD program emphasizes interdisciplinary research opportunities in laboratories run by nationally recognized faculty, with nutrition-related studies focused on obesity and associated disorders of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.
